The Eurocode 2 course will help experienced engineers understand the application of these new structural design codes 2 half day CPD programmes are proposed by the school of the Built and Natural Environment at Glasgow Caledonian University. It is recommended that those attending have experience in designing structures to BS5950, BS5368 and BS8110, or BS5400.

  • Samples of designing simple slabs and beams and an overview of columns.
  • Consideration of BSEN206 in relation to EC2 regarding the choice of concrete classifications and requirements for durability and fire resistance.
  • Consideration of BSEN10080 in relation to EC2 regarding the choice of steel reinforcement.
